Kuruman killer gets life in prison

The incident happened in September 2017 after the two had an altercation, which led to a shooting.

Mashalane shot Simkhada, who later died in hospital due to the gunshot wound he sustained.

The Kuruman station commander, Brigadier Kenneth Baloyi, commended the investigating officer, Sergeant Gabaitumele Solomon Tikane, in the matter for his excellent investigative work that led to the incarceration of the accused.

Baloyi also applauded the NPA and the Department of Justice, who worked closely with Tikane to ensure that justice was served.
