Kimberley police reach out to the homeless on Mandela Day

THE KIMBERLEY police, in partnership with the Community Police Forum (CPF) and Neighbourhood Watch members, reached out to needy and homeless community members in the city in commemoration of Mandela Day on Sunday.

Police spokesperson Sergeant Dikeledi Gopane said the beneficiaries were served with a meal.

“The community members and children who are staying on the streets of Kimberley were served with a meal at various points in the city. We reached out to the community in commemoration of Mandela Day. We ensured that all disaster management Level 4 regulations were observed during all times,” said Gopane.
