Kakamas police seek missing man

The police in Kakamas have requested the community’s assistance in locating a missing 66-year-old man.

THE POLICE in Kakamas have requested the community’s assistance in locating a missing man, Andries Springbok, 66, who resides at 2596 Hashvalley, Kakamas.

According to information received, Springbok was last seen on January 28 at around 10.45pm when he returned home from attending a funeral with family members.

Northern Cape police spokesperson Captain Nelis Prins said Springbok was supposed to go to his girlfriend’s home, in the same neighbourhood, but never arrived there.

“At the time of his disappearance he was wearing black trousers, black shoes, a black jacket and a white shirt,” said Prins.

Anyone with information regarding the whereabouts of Springbok is requested to contact the investigating officer, Captain Klaas Fiks, on 076 016 5540 or the local police station, 08600 1011 or via the MySAPS app.
