PUPILS at Hoërskool Kakamas were addressed on the negative effects of social ills by the local station commander, Colonel Andries Witbooi, and his SAPS social crime team.

The subjects tackled included drugs, bullying, gangsterism, violence, bunking of school and sexual offences.

Police spokesperson Captain Nelis Prins said the visit on Thursday was part of their school safety awareness programme.
