The Kagisho police have requested the public to assist with information that could lead to the arrest of suspects involved in the murder of a 37-year-old man.
THE KAGISHO police have requested the public to assist with information that could lead to the arrest of suspects involved in the murder of Malvern Soul Mcetywa, 37, from Mmpundu Street in Galeshewe.
The incident took place on May 2, 2021, when Mcetywa and his friend went to investigate after intruders entered his neighbour’s yard.
Police spokesperson Sergeant Timothy Sam said a stand-off took place involving a group of unknown men and Mcetywa’s friend ran to call help.
“Upon his return, the friend found the deceased (Mcetywa) injured and breathing heavily,” Said Sam.
“He was transported to hospital for medical assistance but was declared dead on his arrival at the hospital.”
Sam requested anyone with information regarding the case to contact the investigating officer, Detective Sergeant Donna Palm, at 060 972 3262 or 08600 10111 or to anonymously SMS to 32211 or use the MySAPS app.
“All information received will be treated confidentially,” Sam added.
