Hawks seize unpolished diamonds in Kimberley

No arrests have been made yet and the investigation continues.

A JOINT operation by the Hawks’ Serious Organised Crime Investigation and the Tactical Response Team resulted in the seizure of 52.08 carats of unpolished diamonds worth approximately R41,000 in Kimberley on Thursday.

The search-and-seizure operation was executed at CJ Bricks, Madeliefie 2, Square Hill Park.

Hawks spokesperson Nomthandazo Mnisis said no arrests have been made as yet and the investigation continues.
