Galeshewe police seek help solving murder cases

The Galeshewe police have requested the public’s assistance in solving two separate murder cases.

THE GALESHEWE police have requested the public’s assistance in solving two separate murder cases.

Police spokesperson Sergeant Timothy Sam said that in the first matter, the police are investigating the murder of a 38-year-old Mbulelo Tyala.

“Preliminary investigations indicate that the deceased was beaten by unknown persons at the corner of Tyala and Klaas Moncho streets on December 27, 2022. The deceased succumbed to his injuries at Robert Mangaliso Sobukwe Hospital on Sunday, January 1, 2023,” said Sam.

“The police are requesting the public to assist with information that may lead to the arrest of the suspects and the investigation of the case. The investigating officer, Detective Warrant Officer Stepehen Wax, can be contacted on 082 469 1729 or 08600 1011 or via the MySAPS app.”

In the second matter, Sam said that the police are investigating the murder of 53-year-old Tebogo Modiragale, who was also assaulted and later succumbed to his injuries at Robert Mangaliso Sobukwe Hospital.

“The Galeshewe police are investigating a murder case following the death of Tebogo Modiragale on January 10, 2023. Preliminary investigations indicated that the victim was assaulted by an unknown person/s on Monday, January 9, 2023 at an unknown location. The deceased succumbed to his injuries at Robert Mangaliso Sobukwe Hospital on Tuesday, January 10, 2023.

“The police are requesting anyone with information that may lead to the arrest of the suspect/s to contact the investigating officer, Detective Warrant Officer Dirk Thys, on 082 469 0130 or 08600 10111 or via the MySAPS app.

“All information will be treated confidentially,” Sam said.
