Galeshewe police seek help solving murder case

The Galeshewe police have requested the public’s assistance in locating the suspect responsible for the fatal shooting of a 50-year-old man.

THE GALESHEWE police have requested the community’s assistance in providing information that may lead to the arrest of the suspect responsible for the fatal shooting of a 50-year-old man.

Galeshewe police spokesperson Sergeant Timothy Sam said no arrests had been made yet in connection with the murder of a 50-year-old man in Tyson Road on July 29 last year.

“The Galeshewe police are investigating a murder case following the death of a 50-year-old man in Tyson Road in Galeshewe in July 2022. Preliminary investigations indicate that the victim died as a result of a firearm bullet wound. The victim was allegedly shot in his driveway by an unknown person,” said Sam.

“The public is requested to assist with information that may lead to the apprehension of the culprit. Anyone with information regarding the matter can contact Detective Warrant Officer Stephen Wax on 082 469 1729 or the Crime Stop number 08600 10111 or they can contact the police via the MySAPS app.

“All information will be treated confidentially,” added Sam.
