THE GALESHEWE police have requested the public’s assistance in locating a missing seven-year-old girl, Kedibone Schalkwyk, who was last seen leaving for school on Tuesday morning, October 31.

Police spokesperson Sergeant Timothy Sam said Kedibone never returned to her foster home.

“It is reported that Kedibone left for school, Venus Primary in Roodepan, but never returned home, where she had been placed under foster care. The social worker visited her biological mother, aunt and neighbours, but could not trace her,” said Sam.

“Kedibone was dressed in grey trousers, a white shirt and a black jacket with pink flowers. She resides at 13148 Moledi Street in Bloemanda.”

Sam said that anyone who might have information about the whereabouts of Kedibone can contact Lieutenant-Colonel Marli Strydom from the Galeshewe Family Violence, Child Protection and Sexual Offences unit on 082 495 0618 or 08600 10111 or either SMS anonymously to 32211 or use the MySAPS app.

“The public is reminded that here is no waiting period to report a child missing,” said Sam.
