The police in Galeshewe are investigating the murder of a 44-year-old man who was fatally assaulted by three unknown suspects at Robert Mangaliso Sobukwe Hospital.
THE POLICE in Galeshewe are investigating the murder of a 44-year-old man who was fatally assaulted by three unknown suspects at Robert Mangaliso Sobukwe Hospital on July 23.
Police spokesperson Sergeant Timothy Sam said the suspects were seen driving a white bakkie in Masupha Street in Galeshewe.
“The police are requesting the public to assist in tracking down the suspects and with the investigation of this case,” said Sam.
Anyone with information is requested to contact the investigating officer, Sergeant Chrisna von Wiellig, on 082 469 0547 or via the MySAPS app.
“All information will be treated confidentially.”
Sam added that the Galeshewe police were also investigating another murder where a 37-year-old woman died after she was assaulted.
He said the woman’s body was discovered in Patosi Street in Galeshewe on November 8.
“The woman was found by paramedics lying in the street with a deep laceration on her forehead. She was transported to hospital for medical attention.
“The police were informed by the hospital to investigate the circumstances around her being allegedly assaulted as well as to establish her identity and family.”
