Galeshewe butchery owner brutally attacked during robbery

The Galeshewe community has been left shocked following the brutal attack on well-known businessman Dingi Mhlongo, the owner of Jabulani Butchery in Botsang Street, during the early hours of Wednesday morning.

THE GALESHEWE community has been left shocked following the brutal attack on well-known businessman Dingi Mhlongo, the owner of Jabulani Butchery in Botsang Street, during the early hours of Wednesday morning.

It is alleged that Mhlongo was brutally attacked during an armed robbery at his butchery at around 4am.

It is believed that the suspects made off with an undisclosed amount of cash and meat.

Messages regarding the incident have been circulating on social media and members of the public have been urged to come forward with any information on the incident.

According to reports, Mhlongo suffered severe injuries, including stab wounds and head injuries.

It is believed that he was admitted to a local hospital in a critical condition and is expected to undergo intensive surgery.

Mhlongo has been lauded as a man “full of love” and a humanitarian who has reached out to those in need over the years.

He is one of the few remaining long-serving local businessmen.

At the time of publication, the Galeshewe police were still in the process of opening a docket on the incident.
