ABOUT WOMEN TO WOMEN

Founded in 2011 by Priscilla Smith, a survivor of domestic abuse and femicide, Women to Women was born out of pain and a vision for hope. The organisation empowers GBV survivors by offering programmes and services that address physical, psychological, and spiritual healing.

Priscilla’s own journey, fleeing 955 kilometres to escape her abuser, inspired her to establish ‘A Place Called Home’, a unique programme providing victims with not just safety but a sense of belonging and healing.

KEY OBJECTIVES

  • Deliver psychosocial support to disadvantaged and vulnerable individuals.
  • Conduct GBVF prevention and response programmes.
  • Offer legal, emotional, and economic support to GBV survivors.
  • Promote social cohesion, human rights advocacy, and substance abuse prevention.

PROGRAMMES and SERVICES

Housing and Recovery: A three-stage housing system for GBV survivors.

Community Soup Kitchen: Feeding 70-80 people weekly, with expanded services during school holidays.

Empowerment Workshops: Skills training in baking, needlework, and more to foster self-sufficiency.

Substance Abuse Support: Education and rehabilitation programmes under the “Drug-Free Society” initiative.
