A FESTIVE celebration for the “60s club” took place over the weekend at the Evangelizing United Church, bringing together a vibrant community of individuals aged 60 and older.

The founder of Club 60, Apostle Piet Gopalwele Choeu, said the event has been held annually since 2011 and serves as a heartfelt tribute to the contributions and wisdom of older generations.

Apostle Choeu emphasised its significance in showing appreciation for the elderly. “The event was held on September 28 under the gracious leadership of Bishop Thole and Lady Bishop Thole, featuring inspiring speeches and meaningful scripture readings. Throughout the event, the elderly attendees were treated with warmth and care,” Choeu remarked.

This gathering not only celebrates the milestones of the older generation but also fosters a sense of community and respect for their invaluable life experiences.
