THE UPINGTON border police seized mandrax tablets with an estimated street value of R4,700, dagga with an estimated street value of R434 as well as an undisclosed amount of cash from a property in Pabalello.

Upington SAPS spokesperson, Sergeant Omphile Masegela, said the police raided the premises on March 28 and arrested two suspects aged 39 and 32 on charges of dealing in drugs.

The acting district commissioner of the ZF Mgcawu District, Brigadier Peet Coetzee, commended the efforts of members to remove drugs from the streets.

He also encouraged community members to blow the whistle on drug dealers to curb the spread of drugs in their communities.
