THE KENHARDT police and the Upington K9 unit raided eight premises in Kenhardt where they confiscated illicit liquor and drugs with an estimated street value of R12,900 during Operation Vhunthu Hawe.
Upington SAPS spokesperson Sergeant Omphile Masegela said four suspects were arrested on Tuesday for being in possession of concoction beer and for dealing in drugs.
“The members of Kenhardt SAPS and Upington K9 raided eight premises where liquor and drugs with an estimated street value of R12,900 were confiscated. The four suspects, aged between 26 and 46 years old, were arrested and they are expected to appear in court soon,” said Masegela.
The acting district commissioner of ZF Mgcawu, Colonel Peet Coetzee, applauded the police members for their efforts to fight crime in the district.
