Dagga confiscated at Dingaan hostels

The members of Galeshewe Social Crime Prevention, Crime Intelligence and K9 Units arrested three suspects aged 50 years, 46 years and 26 years on February 17 for being in possession of dagga.

MEMBERS of Galeshewe Social Crime Prevention, Crime Intelligence and K9 Units arrested three suspects aged 50 years, 46 years and 26 years on February 17 for being in possession of dagga.

Galeshewe police spokesperson Sergeant Timothy Sam said the police found 3, 7kgs of dagga hidden inside a premises at the Dingaan hostels in Galeshewe.

“The members followed up on information that the drugs were suspected to be sold.”

He added that cash to the value of R1,429 was also confiscated from the premises.

“The suspects are expected to appear in court soon.”

The station commander of Galeshewe Brigadier Belinda Rikhotso commended members and encouraged them to continue with the effort to remove drugs off the streets of Galeshewe.
