THE CASE against Gareth Clarke who faces charges of possession of child pornography and sexual grooming has been postponed to December 15, 2020. Clarke briefly appeared in the Kimberley Magistrate’s Court on November 26, 2020.

His lawyer indicated during his previous court appearance in September that they will make an application to the Director of Public Prosecutions for the charges against Clarke to be withdrawn or for the matter to be settled out of court.

This decision was expected today.

Clarke, a youth leader, is the son of Pastor Edwin Clarke from the Life Church Assemblies in Kimberley.

It has been reported that Clarke was working at a local primary school as a sports instructor earlier this year.
