THE COURT appearance of a woman accused of shooting an alleged Kimberley drug dealer has been postponed to Monday, March 15.

Keitumetse Hafuza, 28, is facing a charge of attempted murder after allegedly shooting and injuring Rodger Johnson in front of the Kimberley Magistrate’s Court building on December 23 last year.

Her court appearance is set to be held in camera.

Hafuza abandoned her bail application on December 29 out of fear for her safety and she remains in custody.

Johnson was shot five times in front of the Kimberley Magistrate’s Court after he had appeared in court for attempted murder and been granted bail of R2,000 .

It has been alleged that Hafuza is the girlfriend of a “rival gangster”.

There was a heavy police presence inside and outside the court on the day of Hafuza’s bail appearance last year.

Heavily-armed police officers also sealed off all the roads around the court building and the public was barred from the courtroom due to safety concerns.

Johnson remains in hospital following the shooting. His court case has also been postponed to March 15.
