The Hawks South African Narcotics Enforcement Bureau arrested a couple aged 21 and 51 years on December 9 on charges of drug dealing, where they were found in possession of Tik and Kat.

THE Hawks South African Narcotics Enforcement Bureau arrested a couple aged 21 and 51 years on December 9 on charges of drug dealing, where they were found in possession of Tik and Kat.

Hawks provincial spokesperson Nomthandazo Mnisi on Friday said the Hawks team acted on information about drugs being sold at the ED Works building in Kimberley.

“A search and seizure warrant was executed at the said premises. During the search, 1,493 grams of crystal methamphetamine (Tik), 156 grams of Kat with a combined estimated street value of R239,601, seven cell phones, one digital scale,a scissor and documents were confiscated for further investigation.”

She added that both suspects were expected to appear before the Kimberley Magistrate’s court on Monday, December 13.
