THE NORTHERN Cape SAPS Murder and Robbery Unit is searching for several suspects who were involved in two separate violent house robberies and theft incidents that occurred in Kimberley.

Police spokesperson Sergeant Timothy Sam said the first incident took place at a house in Field Street, Monument Heights, on February 25 when two men gained entry to the house through a kitchen window while the occupants were asleep.

“They held the complainants at gunpoint and ordered them to open the safe as they were looking for diamonds,” said Sam.

“The assailants stole items valued at over R300,000, including a firearm, laptops, jewellery, electronics and cash.”

He said the police were searching for two persons (see identikits below) who are believed to be of interest in the investigation of this case.

Anyone who may have information that may lead to the apprehension and arrest of the suspects is requested to contact the investigating officer, Detective Warrant Officer Beulah Williams, at 071 686 1182 or 08600 10111 or either SMS anonymously to 32211 or use the MySAPS app.

“All information received will be treated confidentially,“ said Sam.

The second house robbery incident took place in Schreiner Street, Hadison Park, on April 9.

Sam said that the complainants were woken by three intruders who held them at gunpoint in their bedroom.

“They instructed them to keep quiet and hand over money and jewellery. The homeowners complied out of fear.”

He added that the intruders stole items with a combined estimated value of R700,000 including foreign currency, jewellery, tablets, cellphones, cameras and a wedding ring.

Sam said three people are of interest in the investigation of this case (see identikits below).

Anyone who might have information that may lead to the apprehension and arrest of the suspects is requested to contact the investigating officer, Detective Sergeant Eunice Ngono, at 060 860 8029 or 08600 10111 or either SMS anonymously to 32211 or use the MySAPS App.

Sam reiterated that all information received will be treated confidentially.
