Cops need help in identifying men killed in accident

Strydenburg police are investigating a culpable homicide where two unknown men were killed in an accident on the N12 between Hopetown and Strydenburg.

THE Strydenburg police are investigating a culpable homicide where two unknown men were killed in an accident on the N12 between Hopetown and Strydenburg on Wednesday August 10 at about 7.50pm.

Captain Olebogeng Tawana said the deceased were severely injured when they were knocked over by a white Mercedes Benz while the driver of the Mercedes Benz was transported to hospital for medical treatment.

“The identities of the deceased are unknown. They are between the ages of 30 and 35 years and are about 1, 7 metres tall. They were wearing grey jackets. They were carrying blankets and clothing.”

He requested any person with information that could assist the police in identifying the bodies is requested to contact the investigating officer, Warrant Officer Francisco Naude from the Strydenburg SAPS at 053 638 0000 or on 063 152 8697.

“The investigation continues,” Tawana added.
