KIMBERLEY was expected to be the coldest place in the country last night, as the minimum temperature dropped to 3 degrees Celsius.

According to the SA Weather Office, most of the country was expected to experience cooling temperatures as a cold front passed along the coastline yesterday.

Minimum temperatures were expected to cool in the northern and central parts of the country, including the Northern Cape.

The coldest places in South Africa were expected to be Kimberley and Vryburg, both dropping to a minimum of 3 degrees C.

For the next few days, the minimum temperature in the city will be 5 degrees C, rising to the low 20s. By Sunday and Monday, however, it is expected that this will drop to 3 degrees C again.

The maximum temperature predicted for Sunday is 20 degrees C and for Monday next week it is 21 degrees C.
