City man gunned down in his car

The police are investigating a case of murder after a man was gunned down in his vehicle in Retswelele, Kimberley on Sunday morning.

THE KAGISHO police are investigating a case of murder after a 40-year-old man was gunned down in his vehicle in Retswelele, Kimberley at about 0.30am on Sunday morning.

Police spokesperson Captain Bashoabile Kale said the shooting happened in Nodoba Street in Retswelele.

“It is alleged that the deceased was seated in his vehicle when a vehicle stopped next to him and opened fire on him,” said Kale.

“The circumstances that led to the murder are currently unknown. No suspects have been arrested yet and investigations continue.”

Kale added that the deceased was identified by family members.
