THE BODY of a missing Ethiopian man, Abush Gugisa, 28, was found floating in a wastewater stream near Gogga Pump Station on Wednesday afternoon.

The body was removed by forensic services after being positively identified by family members.

Police spokesperson Lieutenant-Colonel Bashoabile Kale said that the Galeshewe Detectives have opened an inquest docket into the man’s death.

“No foul play is suspected,” said Kale.

Gugisa was reported missing after being last seen on Monday night at his tuck shop in Mangope Street, Galeshewe.

His brothers said that they started searching for him on Tuesday morning after a “suicide video” was forwarded to them by another brother in Limpopo.

Kale said that the authenticity of the alleged suicide video is still being investigated by the police.

The brothers meanwhile said on Wednesday that they were not aware of any problems that Abush had, or whether he had any enemies.

He had been staying at his tuck shop, where he shared the yard with his landlord for the past five years.

This is a developing story.
