Armed robbery suspect arrested in Postmasburg

A man is expected to appear in the Postmasburg Magistrate’s Court on February 22 after he allegedly committed an armed robbery.

A SUSPECT is expected to appear in the Postmasburg Magistrate’s Court on February 22 for a bail application after he allegedly committed an armed robbery.

Police spokesperson Warrant Officer Nomvuyo Makoloi said on Thursday that tuck shops situated in Boichoko and Newtown in Postmasburg were experiencing a spate of robberies.

The acting station commander, Captain Gerrit Mouton, commended Detective Constable Tefo Makhetha for arresting the suspect and stated that the police were committed to removing illegal firearms from the streets.
