ANCYL to hold its 9th Provincial Congress at Boontjieskraal Guest Farm

The African National Congress Youth League (ANCYL) in the Northern Cape will hold its 9th Provincial Congress at Boontjieskraal Guest Farm from May 6-8.

THE AFRICAN National Congress Youth League (ANCYL) in the Northern Cape will hold its 9th Provincial Congress at Boontjieskraal Guest Farm from May 6-8.

Provincial Conference Preparatory Committee (PCPC) spokesperson, Nompumelelo Mpata, said all five regions in the province had successfully convened its regional congresses.

“Young people are coming up with practical and innovative resolutions, aimed at rebuilding the ANCYL in the province, championing the interest of the youth and ensuring that the youth rally behind the banner of the ANC.”

He indicated that there were 389 voting delegates from branches across the province as well as non-voting delegates would participate in the conference.

“The ANC provincial chairperson Dr Zamani Saul will address the congress delegation on behalf of the Provincial Executive Committee (PEC).

“National Youth Task Team (NYTT) convener, Nonceba Mlhuali, is expected to deliver a message to congress on behalf of the NYTT.”
