Airlink to introduce flights to city

The airline has announced that it will introduce flights from Johannesburg to Kimberley and Cape Town to Kimberley from next week.

AIRLINK has announced that it will introduce flights from Johannesburg to Kimberley and Cape Town to Kimberley from next week.

According to a statement from Airlink, the airline will introduce an early morning and late afternoon service between Johannesburg and Kimberley, providing travellers with same-day return flights.

These flights will start on Monday, August 17, 2020. The flights will operate on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays.

From Tuesday next week (August 18), the airline will also offer flights between Cape Town and Kimberley. This will be an afternoon scheduled service and will operate on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

Under the current Covid-19 Level 3 restrictions, the government requires travellers to carry with them proof of permission to travel. Permitted travel includes: essential or business travel, caring for immediate family members, obtaining medical treatment, etc.

Airlink has assured customers travelling during these stressful Covid pandemic times, that personal safety is a major consideration.

These filters help to continually sterilise the air in our cabins, which is renewed entirely every three minutes,” Airlink stated.
