Foetus found in blue bag at Kimberley dump site

A foetus was found at the Kimberley dumps in a blue shopping bag.

The Kimberley SAPS Serious and Violent Crimes unit is investigating a case of the concealment of birth after a foetus was discovered in a blue shopping bag at the Kimberley dumping site on Monday. 

This is the third foetus that was discarded at the dumps since May this year. 

SAPS Northern Cape spokesperson Lieutenant Colonel Sergio Kock said the foetus was found by a community member at the dumping site on Monday, August 4, at about 2.40 pm.

"Additionally, the police are requesting assistance as two other similar cases were reported on  May 20 and June 23. The investigation continues," Kock added.
