Wabantu is refocusing and putting all her energy into her new 'job'.
Zodwa Wabantu is becoming a force to reckon with on the entertainment scene. The sultry dancer packed her bags for Johannesburg last week, and is set to start filming for a TV series that is due for release in the next month.
Zodwa — who recently had a cameo role in Uzalo — has been cast as in role where she is the support system for her troubled sister. The show aims to tackle serious issues, with literacy being one its key points.
The newbie actress is has also signed a deal to star in a film, where she’ll be on set for 10 days.
Speaking to TshisaLive, Zodwa said: “You will remember when I said I was retiring that it was just retiring from dancing. I am refocusing and moving into acting. I have always wanted to act and this is a great opportunity. I am serious about my job, I am not playing around.”
