City’s own Michael Jackson is back

Kimberley's Dantanio Goodman will perform at the Emmanual Secondary School in aid of a fund-raiser.

SCREAM: Dantanio fell in love with Jacksons music as a nine-year-old boy growing up in a musical family with gospel roots in Kimberley when his brother introduced him to Dont Stop til You Get Enough.

HOME-grown talent Dantanio Goodman, who has toured both locally and internationally and is known to be a Michael Jackson look-alike, will be performing at Emmanuel Secondary School in aid of a fund-raiser on Friday.

Vicus Visser, Emilio Patron and TMRW Dance Company will also be performing at the event.

Goodman, who was born in Kimberley and matriculated from William Pescod Secondary School, was part of the boy group Unique Transitions before joining the Barnyard Theatre in Johannesburg.

He has performed in various musicals including starring as Sammy Davis Jnr in the Rat Pack and shared the stage with Hugh Masekela and Miriam Makeba.

Goodman has travelled the world, including Germany, North America and Australia, with his Michael Jackson impersonations – History Tour with Showtime Australia.

Friday’s concert starts at 7pm at the Emmanuel Secondary School Hall at 14th Street, Homevale.
