Mozambique’s Beira set for mass disinfection

There are at least 10 confirmed cases of Covid-19 in Mozambique.

PRETORIA- Mozambique’s port city of Beira is set to benefit from a massive disinfection campaign in a bid to stop the spread of coronavirus (Covid-19), local press reported.

Online publication Club of Mozambique reported that the disinfection campaign, set to start on Tuesday, incorporates a movement of local civil society, residents, and entrepreneurs. It is sponsored by the Beira Municipal Council.

The movement, #SOScORONABeira enterprise, was reportedly seeking additional resources for the exercise.

There are at least 10 confirmed cases of Covid-19 in Mozambique. This month, president Filipe Nyusi imposed a 30-day state of emergency.
