A 40-year-old man was allegedly kidnapped when he met several unknown men for a business appointment.

A 40-YEAR-old man was allegedly kidnapped on Samaria Road in Kimberley on the weekend after he apparently went to meet four men for business.

Police spokesperson Lieutenant-Colonel Sergio Kock said the incident occured on Saturday at around 4pm.

“The Provincial Organised Crime Detectives need assistance after a 40-year-old male was allegedly kidnapped when he apparently met four unknown males for a business appointment,” said Kock. “The men allegedly fired some shots, kidnapped the victim and fled with his red Corsa bakkie, with registration number BSX 069 NC.”

The police have requested anyone with information to contact Detective Sergeant Kagisho Thys on 082 469 2064 or Detective Constable Tshiamo Mokwena on 071 686 1182.

“All information will be treated with the strictest of confidence. The investigation continues,,” Kock said.
