The 40-year-old woman who allegedly conspired to kill her husband appeared in the Kimberley Magistrate’s Court on Monday.
THE 40-YEAR-old woman who allegedly conspired to kill her husband is expected to apply for a formal bail application on May 24.
She was arrested by members of Provincial Organised Crime and Kimberley Crime Intelligence at the Indian Centre in Kimberley on Sunday after it was discovered that she had allegedly hired hitmen to kill her estranged husband.
It is alleged that she promised to pay the hitmen a substantial amount of money to kidnap and kill her husband.
National Prosecuting Authority (NPA) regional spokesperson Mojalefa Senokoatsane said the woman appeared in the Kimberley Magistrate’s Court on Monday.
“The case has been postponed to May 24, 2022 for possible bail application. The accused is facing a charge of conspiracy to commit murder. She is remanded in custody until her next appearance in court,” said Senokoatsane.
