Work has started on replacing air valves, scour valves and repairing pipe leaks at different areas in Kimberley.

The Sol Plaatje municipality teams are currently hard at work replacing air valves, scour valves and repairing pipe leaks at different areas in Kimberley.

Water supply to the city was switched-off on Thursday evening to ensure repairwork commence on Friday morning, June 25, 2021.

Sol Plaatje municipality spokesperson, Sello Matsie said jojo tanks are also being placed at predetermined areas to provide residents with water this weekend.

The water shutdown is expected to last until Sunday, June 28, 2021.
